The architectural intention
Art Deco
PALOMA draws on the discipline of Art Deco rather than the horizontal curves of a contemporary resort. A symmetrical four-story facade rises through pronounced fluted pilasters to a stepped crown. The building’s mass is composed vertically, with recessed upper terraces that make the skyline lighter while preserving the clarity of the street-facing elevation.
Cream glazed terracotta gives the facade a crafted, reflective surface. A subtle sage glazed-tile band adds a measured accent rather than becoming the whole design. At the entrance, a bronze geometric grille concentrates the ornamental language into a recognizable threshold. Glazing sits within the structural rhythm, allowing the wall and pilasters to retain their presence.
The residential idea is boutique in character, not a statement about how many homes could be approved. The concept explores how shared arrival, privacy and outdoor terraces might coexist within a strong urban facade. A future proposal would require a real program and site review before any density, access or approval assumptions could be made. No homes are offered for sale or lease through this study.
